SASEM-Screen resolution issue

If you find SAS Enterprise Miner has tiny font or everything is really small, and you need to magnify the screen, then check out the following solutions. This has been provided by previous students. I have not tested these, but other students have followed them to correct the issue. See which one works for you.

Remember to download the EM java app again, and each time you want to use it.

Solutions 1

1. Make sure the application is running

2. Right-click on the icon in the task bar > properties

enter image description here

3. Tick Override high DPI scaling behaviour. Scaling performed by: and then select System (enhanced).

   or depending on version of OS

    Go to the compatibility tab > Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

4. Restart the application

5. The text should be a readable size now.

For more details see this post.

Solutions 2

Step 1: Add a registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\SideBySide\PreferExternalManifest (DWORD) to 1
Step 2: Add a file called ‘jp2launcher.exe.manifest’ in the same directory as ‘jp2launcher.exe’ containing the contents below. If there are multiple versions of Java installed on the machine, use Task Explorer to find where the JP launcher file is located.
Content of manifest file:
<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″ standalone=”yes”?>
<assembly xmlns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1″ manifestVersion=”1.0″ xmlns:asmv3=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3″>
      <trustInfo xmlns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v2″>
                        <requestedExecutionLevel xmlns:ms_asmv3=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3″
                              level=”asInvoker” ms_asmv3:uiAccess=”false”>
            <asmv3:windowsSettings xmlns=”“>
                  <ms_windowsSettings:dpiAware xmlns:ms_windowsSettings=”“>false</ms_windowsSettings:dpiAware>
Step 3: Save the manifest file.
Step 4: Start SAS Enterprise Miner.
Step 5: Throw away that magnifying glass!
